For venues and coordinators

The band yourcoordinators do nothave to worry about

A four-piece from Rugby, Warwickshire with its own sound engineer, fifteen years of weddings, and the paperwork already done.

Hear us before you recommend us

One is our studio recording. The other is live audio from an actual gig, crowd and all — which is the one that matters if you are putting your name to us.

Live at a real wedding

1 min

Live audio from an actual gig

Recorded in the room on the night, not in a studio — so you are hearing the band exactly as your guests would, crowd and all.

The studio version

4 min

Studio recording

Recorded and mixed properly in an empty sports hall, so you can hear every part without a hundred people singing over the top.

Two looks, one band

Same four musicians, same set, same price — the only thing that changes is what we wear. Pick whichever suits your room and the rest of this page changes with it.

Why venues recommend us

The things that go wrong with a live band on a wedding night are nearly always the same three. These are our answers to them.

A sound engineer at every show

Someone whose only job is the volume in your room. Not a band member reaching over to a mixer between songs. It is the single biggest reason bands get complaints, and it is why we do not.

We work inside your limiter

We carry an electric drum kit for rooms with a limiter, which is what normally trips one, and keep the rig under your figure. Tell us the number and we will say honestly whether it works before anyone books.

Through your PA if you prefer

Where the house system has to be used, our desk feeds it on balanced XLR. No adaptors borrowed from your AV cupboard on the night.

Self-contained

PA, lighting and music between the sets, all our own. Nothing is hired in, and nobody asks your team where the power is at six o'clock.

One contact, start to finish

You deal with a member of the band from first enquiry to load-out. No agency, no account manager, and nobody who has to check and call you back.

Deputies who know the set

A small, fixed pool who have played this material. In fifteen years we have not missed a booking, and your couple will not be the first.

What we play

Weddings, birthdays and corporate nights across fifteen years. The set is built out of things a room already knows, which is why it works on a crowd that spans forty years.

92 songs in total, plus an acoustic set for drinks and dinner. See the full list.

For your couples

Send them to us and the booking runs itself from there — they can check their date and get a price without waiting on you or on us.

The page your couples see

Have a look at it yourself before you recommend us, then send it on. They can check their date, get a price and hold it without waiting on you or on us.

Ask us for your own version of this link and we will know which couples came from you.

We are glad to come to your open days and wedding fairs, and we can play as an acoustic duo for ceremonies and drinks receptions if a full band is not what the room needs.

Technical, at a glance

Everything your team needs to know before the van arrives. If any of it does not work in your room, tell us and we will say honestly whether we can make it work.

Space
About 5m x 3m for the four-piece. Tell us if you are tighter and we will work out whether it is doable before you book us.
Power
Two standard 13A sockets on separate circuits.
Set-up
About 90 minutes, ideally before guests are seated. We can set up behind closed doors and sound check early if the schedule is tight.
Sets
Two 60-minute sets or three 40-minute sets, fitted around your running order rather than the other way round.
Finish
Midnight as standard, later where you are licensed for it.
Food
A hot meal for five — four musicians and the sound engineer. Most venues fold it into the evening catering.
Safety
Cables taped and made safe as standard. No smoke or haze unless you have approved it.
Line-up and dress
A four-piece, in basketball vests or suited to match the room. Your couple chooses; the show is the same either way.

Paperwork, before you ask for it

We would rather you had it on file than have to chase one of us for it a fortnight before the wedding.

What venues and clients have said

“Wow what can we say? Amazing. 100% awesome. White Men Can't Funk. Well yes they certainly can. They had people up dancing that we've never seen shake a hip before. The band went above and beyond. Even the sound check was brilliant. The kindness of the guys was just so genuine. They gave their everything to us and to our guests. We cannot thank White Men Can't Funk enough for everything. You guys are truly wonderful and more than we could have wished for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

— Laura & Dan Morris

“The band were super professional and good guys. They sounded amazing… The sound engineer handled us perfectly, even sweeping up broken glass from the drunk groom's mismanagement of his whiskey and coke! We partied all the way to the end of the night and by then the guests still couldn't get enough, demanding encore and more songs. We had a great night, thank you!”

— Liam & Sophie
